an intro

Camp Idah was born out of a deep desire to create a safe and nurturing environment where adult women can come together, forge lasting friendships, and rediscover themselves. Our journey began with a simple yet profound realization: the importance of community and connection in our lives. We envisioned a space where women could escape the pressures of daily life, reconnect with nature, and find support and camaraderie among like-minded individuals.

Our mission at Camp Idah is to provide a haven where women can feel empowered, inspired, and supported. We believe that by fostering meaningful connections and offering a range of engaging activities, we can help women build resilience, confidence, and a sense of belonging. Our programs are designed to promote personal growth, creativity, and adventure. We are a strong ally of LGBTQIA+ communities and welcome all representations of the female or non-binary spirit.

Kierra Palmer (she/her/hers)

Founder, Camp Director

Kierra’s lifelong fascination with summer camps began in childhood, fueled by dreams of adventure, nature, and close-knit friendships. The opportunity to attend 4-H camp as a young girl left an indelible mark—immersing her in a community that ignited her love for exploration and personal growth.

Years later, Kierra rediscovered this passion at Camp Château, an adult women’s summer camp in southern France. The supportive environment and spirit of camaraderie reignited her enthusiasm and planted the seed for a bold vision: to bring the magic of adult summer camp experiences to the United States.

Inspired and determined, Kierra set out to establish an adult camp in Idaho, drawing strength from her trusted circle of friends and family. Her journey from wide-eyed camper to visionary founder underscores the transformative power of camp experiences and cultivate lifelong connections.

Christen (she/her/hers)

Counselor

I’m Christen and I’m originally from Southern California but moved up to Idaho in 2024! I’m a big fantasy reader as well as reality tv junkie. In my free time I love to go on walks, do my nails, read, and go out for new happy hours!

Savy (she/her/hers)

Camp Cook

I am Savy, originally from the deserts of southern Utah now calling the mountains of SLC home. I love to read, write, design, and cook! I have THE CUTEST golden doodle named Gerald who keeps me on my toes. Once you get me talking I may never stop.

Amanda (she/her/hers)

Counselor

I’m Amanda and I was born and raised in Idaho. I am a lover of sound baths, long walks along the greenbelt, and a good round of golf. Currently diving deep into massage therapy school while binging romantasy novels — five books in the last month and counting.

Pam (she/her/hers)

Counselor

I am Pam originally from Caldwell, Idaho. I’ve bounced around Idaho cities through my life, making a home in McCall, Council and now currently in Grandview. Family is at the heart of my life, as I raised two sons and had the joy of raising my grandson from the age of one. I enjoy camping, gardening, and canning, and I’m passionate about working with kids.
